CETEC-GAUSS
A short lived incredible line of speakers that vanished into oblivion.
This page
contains the instructions for the use of the enclosure tuning charts,
some data on various speakers/drivers and a chart for enclosure internal
dimensions following the golden ratio (Phi) 1.26:1 for various cabinet
volumes. All pages linked below are in high resolution JPG and can
be printed with good quality. They are all in greyscale (black
& white)
They are appropriately labeled below. The golden ratio dimensions aren't mandatory but many, including myself maintain its attributes. This theory also applies to room dimensions. Paul Klipsch references a paper published by R.H. Bolt: "Note on Normal Frequency Statistics for Rectangular4 Rooms", J.A.S.A. Vol. 178, No. 1, July 1946 pp130-133. That Klipsch reference can be found in the following 2 links.

The VENT list contains charts for vent tuning at various frequencies for various cabinet volumes as well as maximum power vents and a de-rating set of curves for maximum excursion. This should all be explained in the instructions.

This list will be added to as time permits; I have tuning charts for all GAUSS 10", 12", 15" and 18" speakers.
The model numbers seem to have the following coding from left to right.
First digit = voice coil diameter
Second digit = diameter. 1 is 10"; 2 is 12"; 5 is 15"; 8 is 18"
Third digit = impedance 4 = 4 ohms; 6 = 16 ohms; 8 = 8 ohms
The last digit and the letter are unknown.
